About Us
Latino Public Broadcasting (LPB) is the ultimate gateway for talented filmmakers to connect with audiences who crave powerful, diverse stories available to watch live, stream on-demand, or access through mobile devices. We are an L.A.-based non-profit and the only media organization in the US expressly committed to bringing independent Latinx voices, narratives, and ideas to wide audiences on PBS and its streaming platforms.
LPB develops and executive-produces independent documentaries, short narrative films, and digital content for multi-platform distribution. Each year, we support passionate filmmakers behind award-winning projects like Julia Alvarez: A Life Reimagined, groundbreaking series such as American Historia: The Untold History of Latinos, and fresh, innovative content like Chilly and Milly and Bertie the Brilliant. To amplify these distinct perspectives, LPB presents an average of 10 films annually for national prime time on PBS through its signature series, VOCES as well as POV, Independent Lens, American Masters, Great Performances, PBS Short Film Festival and more. LPB supports films with all the marketing components for a successful national broadcast and streaming premiere as well as extended engagement to reach into Latinx communities.
Our small, multicultural team is dedicated, nimble, and experienced. We’re looking for someone who shares these values and skills to help lift up Latinx stories.
